Romantic Valentine’s Day Ideas

Valentine’s Day is a very important day in a relationship.  It is the day where husbands and wives, or two significant others have an opportunity to say “I Love You!” in a special way.  This day should definitely be taken with high importance and consideration.

Women melt over this holiday.  Even if she is saying that she does not want to do anything out of the ordinary, do not take those words as true.  Chances are if you do, she will be hurt or maybe even a little angry.   In your eyes this day may seem a little mushy, or maybe not.  Either way take this once a year opportunity to spoil her a little bit - she will never forget it.

If you really want to make her happy, surprise her.  Pick her up from the office early - arrange it with her boss of course.  Her heart is sure to soar when she sees her loved one appear in the office with some flowers to personally whisk her away for a full day of Valentine’s celebration.

Make it a special event.  If it can be arranged, set up the event for a two-day rendezvous.  After you surprised her at the office, take her to a nice hotel, and spend the evening in their suite.  Do not worry dinner in this situation.  Have something nice delivered to the room for dinner, with a bottle of champagne.  Most hotels will not mind spreading rose petals across the comforter, if you ask.  This would be a nice touch.

Another great idea would be to just keep it simple.  One of the nicest Valentine’s celebrations I can recall was a surprising moment.  All morning I did not hear one “Happy Valentine’s Day!”   By the end of my workday, which I cut short on my own, I was so upset that my face must have been beet red.

In my upset, I decided to go to my local sports bar and have a cocktail.  If you can imagine my surprise when I walked in to see that all of the tables had a single red rose with a special printed card that red “Our Fist Valentine’s Day as Mr. and Mrs……”  A couple of tears were soon to follow, and of course instant forgiveness.  My husband had arranged to receive a phone call when I arrived.  From there evening continued with romantic sunset views and a wonderful dinner.

They key to an unforgettable Valentine’s Day is creativity.  Surprise her a little bit.  Women enjoy a little mystery.    Some of the normal tendencies of men are to take her to dinner, send Valentines flowers, candy, and a card.  All of these things are great.  If you do take her to dinner, keep in mind that there are some classy restaurants that print their menus daily.  In many cases, the restaurant will print a special note upon request.  And keep whatever you do a secret.  She may bug you a bit to find out; stand your ground.

Valentine’s Day is a special day for couples.  It should be treated this way.  Regardless of how the day is spent, make the moments spent with her special ones.

If you want to send flowers Valentines Day that she’ll be talking about for years to come, then come check out FlowersValentinesDay.com where you’ll find a huge selection of arrangements to pick from and all flowers are hand delivered.

Beautiful Holiday Island Maldives

The beautiful holiday island The Maldives has to be the ultimate tropical destination. It is exotic, serene and tranquil whilst being home to some of the inmost beautiful island resorts you will find anywhere in the world.

The people are continuously friendly and helpful. In fact, I’ve never come across a Maldivian who wasn’t endlessly gracious and pleasant!

The Maldives is actually made of up 1190 coral islands in the Indian Ocean in Southern Asia. 80 of these have tourist resorts.
Some of the most popular resorts are Mirihi and Banyan Tree. There are however many more, each with their own personal feel. Wherever you choose to stay, the hospitality in the Maldives is second to none.

The beautiful holiday islands of the Maldives are an extremely popular honeymoon destination. For this reason it is often booked out year round so it would be a good idea to book early regardless of the time of year you are traveling.  Being in the tropics, it never truly gets cold there so you can even travel in the traditional winter months and still enjoy your time there.

The biggest airport in the Maldives is in Male which is the capital. There are taxi boats and sea planes. Boats are actually used instead of cars which are a welcome mode of transport for people who come from big cities!

The local currency on this beautiful island is the Maldivian rufiyaa with the exchange rate being 12.75 to the US dollar (this is a fixed rate).

It should be noted that the Maldives which is a beautiful holiday island location is very expensive. Resorts have a monopoly over accommodation and there is not really any budget accommodation there. It is a place for the cashed up tourist and luxury seeker. This is why it’s a popular honeymoon spot - people save for years for their honeymoon and the Maldives are certainly a place to splurge and pamper yourself.

Resorts are an all in one affair as they contain restaurants and other amenities you will need. Most don’t really serve local style food, instead opting for what they believe the tourists will enjoy (e.g. Asian and European dishes).

The Maldives is a strong Muslim location and alcohol is not allowed for the locals. Guests are allowed to drink in the resorts as most are licensed. There are no bars besides what is found in the resort which goes to show that the resorts really are the central tourist locations.

There is no doubt that the Maldives are a beautiful holiday island destination. As long as you are happy with resort style living whilst you are there, you will have the time of your life!

Going on holiday is one of the most satisfying things you will do all year. The majority of people will work all year round, save where and when they can just so they can get away from the norm and really enjoy themselves and leave all worries at the airport.

Throughout your life you will have good holidays, away with your friends or family but nothing will be as enjoyable or memorable as when you travel away with your partner as a married couple for the first time, your honeymoon.

Your honeymoon will be planned months or years in advance along with any other wedding activities. The majority of newly weds jet off somewhere hot and luxurious to kick off their marriage with the best possible start and choosing the right destination is important as it will lay foundations for the marriage. The cost of getting married is high but couples tend not to worry as much as they want their special day to be as perfect as possible. This also applies for the honeymoon.

Saving money on your honeymoon is easy and you can do it without cutting back on your enjoyment.

Book your honeymoon early, if you book two years in hand you will pay a lot less than you would if you booked say three months before you plan to go away.

Get the guests to pay, you could ask guests to give money instead of gifts that you may not even use, this will only waste their money. Ask them to give you what you need; this type of thing is becoming more popular, especially in light of the global credit crunch.

Budget before you go, this is one of the easiest methods to save money for whatever you are doing. Simply work out what you will be doing each day and set an allowance.

Get to know each other; you are on your honeymoon. Participate in some honeymoon activities which will not cost you anything, enjoy your privacy for the first time as a married couple.

Follow these tips to save some money on your honeymoon and make the most of one of your first holiday away with your partner.
